Insurance Times names 2026 Tech and Innovation Awards winners
The UK general insurance sector's brightest tech talent gathered at the Royal Lancaster London on 17 September 2026 for Insurance Times' Tech and Innovation Awards, hosted by comedian Geoff Norcott. Eighteen awards were handed out across categories spanning AI, counter fraud, eTrading, customer experience and data analytics.
Opening the evening, Insurance Times content director Katie Scott challenged the industry's reputation as a "digital dinosaur", pointing to clear evidence that UKGI is closing the innovation gap with the global market.
Among the night's standout wins, Shift Technology, alongside Covéa, took home the Counter Fraud Innovation of the Year award — recognising the impact of their collaboration in tackling fraud in the insurance market.
