Shelter Insurance (Columbia, Mo.) has gone live with Shift Technology’s AI-based claims fraud detection platform, Shift Claims Fraud, to strengthen its ability to identify and investigate fraudulent activity across its auto and property lines.
The mutual insurer selected Shift’s platform to improve detection of both individual and organized fraud schemes, minimize false positives, and accelerate investigations with AI-supported decisioning and contextual insights. Shelter is also a member of Shift’s newly formed Insurance Data Network, a collaborative industry initiative to improve shared data usage for risk mitigation.
