And while the COVID-19 outbreak is clearly impacting how business is conducted, we wanted to highlight the actions and precautions we have taken to protect the health, safety and well-being of both our employees and our clients.
As important, we want to ensure our clients and partners that Shift is well prepared to maintain the high levels of service to which you’ve become accustomed. The pandemic/epidemic scenarios in our business continuity plans have been implemented and we're actively monitoring the global situation to make certain proper actions continue to be taken. We strongly believe it's our corporate and personal responsibility to take steps to limit the spread of the virus.
To that end, Shift has instituted the following strategies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:
All travel by Shift employees – international or domestic – is currently on hold. While we truly value all that can be accomplished with face-to-face communications, we must make the health of our clients and employees a top priority.
In the event of personal travel during this period, or for those who have been in close contact with someone who has traveled to restricted destinations, employees will be required to “self-quarantine” for a period of 14 days.
Based on recommendations from local officials in the geographies in which we do business, we have activated the “work from home” provisions of our pandemic business continuity plan. We are fully prepared to deliver on your business requirements independent of where our employees are working.
