Data Security and Privacy at Shift

It’s well known that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is only as good as the data it uses. The more data available for the models, and the higher the quality, the better and more accurate the results. This is one of the key reasons that we architected our solutions to take advantage of both structured and unstructured data from not only our clients’ internal sources but also relevant third-party and external sources as well. When your company’s mission is to automate and optimize decision making across the policy lifecycle and throughout the claims process, you need to know your AI is up to the task!

Data is also the reason we take information security so seriously. To be successful, we need access to our clients’ data. It’s as simple as that. To be comfortable giving that access, our clients need to trust us with their data. They need to know that we’ve put the right processes and procedures in place to safeguard the claims information which is so fundamental to what we do.

This is why Shift is excited to announce that we’ve achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance! We’ve shown that our team can effectively manage the data security and privacy for our clients around the world. Unlike SOC 2 Type I, which Shift previously received and is fundamentally a snapshot in time of your security capabilities, Type II compliance requires a demonstration over time – can you consistently deliver the data security and privacy safeguards your clients deserve. With this announcement, the answer to that question is a resounding yes!
