Haehn joins as Shift accelerates the development of agentic AI for insurance and continues to scale its platform for the world’s leading insurers
Paris, August 5th, 2026 — Shift Technology, the leading AI platform for insurance, today announced the appointment of Zach Haehn as Chief Technology Officer. Based at Shift’s Paris headquarters, Haehn will lead the company’s global technology organisation as Shift accelerates the development of agentic AI for insurers.
Haehn joins Shift at a pivotal moment for the industry, as insurers move from AI experimentation to production-ready deployments across critical workflows, including fraud detection, claims, subrogation, underwriting and risk. As CTO, he will oversee more than 150 people across engineering, infrastructure, security and R&D, with a focus on AI governance, security and continued innovation in agentic AI.
Haehn brings more than two decades of engineering and technology leadership experience across enterprise software and financial technology. He most recently served as CTO at Ocrolus, following senior engineering leadership roles at Seismic, Percolate and Bloomberg.
“Zach brings the technical depth, operational discipline and global engineering experience we need for Shift’s next chapter,” said Jeremy Jawish, CEO and Co-founder of Shift Technology. “Insurance is entering a new phase of AI adoption. The question is no longer whether AI can create value, but how it can be deployed at scale in a way that is accurate, explainable, secure and trusted. Zach’s experience in demanding financial environments will be critical as we continue to scale agentic AI for insurers globally.”
Shift has built one of the world’s largest data science and research hubs dedicated to insurance, consisting of more than 300 data scientists and engineers who combine deep insurance expertise with advanced AI capabilities. Haehn’s appointment reinforces the company’s ambition to remain at the forefront of insurance-grade AI, supporting customers as they deploy agents capable of transforming critical operational workflows while maintaining control, transparency and governance.
“The opportunity ahead is not simply to make existing processes faster. It is to build AI agents that help insurers make critical decisions with greater precision, transparency and control.” said Zach Haehn, Chief Technology Officer at Shift Technology. “I’m excited to join the team in Paris and work with Shift’s engineers, data scientists and product teams to continue building technology that insurers can trust at scale.”
Based in Paris, Haehn’s appointment also reflects Shift’s continued international growth and its ability to attract global technology leadership. His experience in the US enterprise software and financial ecosystem will support Shift as it continues to expand with leading insurers globally.
