MetLife Japan (MetLife Insurance K.K.) has announced its official launch of Shift Technology’s Force to detect fraudulent insurance claims. The following is the announcement by MetLife Japan.

Launch is industry first in Japan

TOKYO, JUNE 9, 2020 - MetLife Insurance K.K. (Representative Statutory Executive Officer, Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer Eric Clurfain) officially activated Force, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based system provided by Shift Technology, a French startup company, to provide faster and improved customer service and protection. This is the first such application of an AI-based on-cloud solution in Japan’s life insurance industry.*
